| I have been to a couple of auctions over the last few weeks. I was amazed at prices paid for hog equipment. Stainless steel confinement style feeders could be had for $50 and that was double sided, 8 holers. But the outdoor feeders were bringing several hundred a piece! By outside, I am talking about the round ones with a lid on the feed tank and all the little feed opening doors at the bottom that a person used to hear banging all night. I guess everybody is going back in to hogs or why the high dollar for the "old style" feeders? The first sale, I just figured one or two guys were both after the same thing but it was the same way at the second sale too. Both sales had several of both types of feeders and they worked hard to get their money on the confinement feeders. What am I missing? | |
