We have a small pull-type sprayer with a pressure gauge that is difficult to see. Is there a way to run a hose with a gauge up near the truck cab and also isolate it from the actual spray solution?

Use a guage isolator mounted somewhere outside the cab, I have one mounted in the removeable panel on a John Deere sound guard cab, it has a garden hose connection attached on the sprayer side and a hose barb on the inside. Attached a 1/4 or 5/16 hose from it to the spray controller guage and filled with antifreeze solution.

Pressure from sprayer (and spray mixture) press a gainst diaphram and transmit pressure to the antifreeze solution which applies pressure to the guage in the contoller. all the potentially nasty stuff stays outside.

I think I purchased mine at an AGCHEM dealer, Shoup has a kit with the isolator, tubing, connectors and a fill syringe with instructions for $63.30.

I've thought about doing that with my pull type sprayer, I plan to leave the one on the sprayer manifold but T it off and run a hose to a gauge at the cab window, they say the preasure won't read the same but will tell you quicker when something isn't right, also read on here once where a guy puts a big loop in the gauge hose and puts anti-freeze in the loop he says it keeps the spray solution out of the gauge haven't tried it yet, still putting a new gauge on every yr. it works.....the only time I get solution up by the gauge is when the gauge goes bad.....

(warning though....it's nothing fancy)  *GRIN*

Good spot for a camera, another way to justify one for the cart, if you need.

I use an oil pressure sender plumbed into my manifold and run a wire up to an oil pressure gauge in the cab

I used the smallest hose I could get and Heartland Agri Supply at Ames carries gauges with all stainless steel parts inside and out and they don't mind chemicals though they do get destroyed if frozen and the plumbing isn't dry. $16 or $18 each. I cut a block of plastic to have a pipe thread on top and on the end that communicated and put a 3/8" thread into the bottom, isolated from the chemical path and screwed a circular magnet from the hardware store there for sticking the gauge on the open tractor cowl. Sure beat turning my head to the controls on the right fender. With the magnet and a quick disconnect hose connection, it probably cost about $30 to add.

Our remote gauge is connected to a magnet that I just sit on the fender. It is connected to the middle boom section, pressure runs 10lb less that at sprayer.

I moved mine up in front of cab of tractor and havent noticed any change in pressure. Added about 20 feet of 3/8ths hose nad made a bracket to mount on the grab handle of cab. No more strained neck!
