Edgar, NE. | Looking at a planter that uses a DJ IntelliAg monitor, after looking at their website it looks like a lot of the modules and controls are sililar if not the same as a FMX's. Would I be able to use the FMX in place of the IntelliAG to do monitoring and VRA and planter air control?

Trimble has used a lot of the Dickey-john nodes, etc. Maybe Dickey-john tech support (800) 637-3302 will answer that question.

NE South Dakota Clark, SD | I have heard of it being done with a GP planter. I have not done it myself, but I did talk to someone that did it last year. You could also use an ISO display such as an Integra.

I am employed by DICKEY-john, and hope this helps: The ECU/ WSMT (black box on the planter) is not the same for a Dj and a FMX. You would need to purchase a new ECU from Trimble to replace the current Dj one that is installed. I am thinking the Trimble ECU would be priced around $1000. GPSDUDE - correction Ag Leader does not offer any ISO terminals so the Integra would not be an option. A couple options would be: John Deere GS2 CNH Pro 600/700 Agco GTA terminal along with some other misc terminals on the market. Thank you

Shenandoah Valley, VA | I spoke with Great Plains on this very subject this spring. (Which perhaps is the brand planter you were looking at, given the air control....) Anyway, the DJ uses the ISO standard whereas the FMx is not ISO compliant. You could get modules to run the clutches and sensors through the FMx, however there was no way to control the split air delivery. So, alas....another 2 monitors in the tractor cab....

South Africa | Running anything non CIH in VT on a Pro 600 will not give you any Variable Rate control...

Look at Topcon's X-30. That will be Dickey-john's new ISO VT display in the not so distant future. There are limitations with both the GS2 and Pro 600 and what you can/cannot do with an ISO implement. http://www.topconpa.com/products/guidance-systems/system-350
