Subject: John Deere work boots

Northeast Louisiana
Work boot thread below got me to thinking. I purchased a set of pull on (Wellington?) John Deere work boots back around 2001. I've worn them almost daily since. This is the longest lasting pair of boots I have ever owned. They are now officially worn out. Soles are finally coming apart. Don't like the other brand I'm wearing now.
I would like to buy another set of JD boots, but local place no longer sells them. I think I was told that Florsheim (sp?) made them. Do they still make them? I found some John Deere boots on the internet, but they don't look to be the same style as the ones I had. Wondering if they are as good. Don't really care about the name, but comfort and quality was great.
