Subject: Morning Glory in RR Soybeans ?

Findlay, Ohio
We have one field of RR Soybeans that has Morning Glory in it. What are you using this year to mix with RR to take the Morning glory out?

2 Qts. Rup+2# of AMS. and 15gal. water per acre. Will not kill them but will stunt and burn them bad enough that the beans will canopy and keep control. You have to get them before they vine very much. I have a field with the same problem. This seems to be the easiest and cost effective.

I used a constant pressure sprayer, and when the boom (not very long) was over bindweeds, I slowed the tractor. Gave them enough extra dose to hold them back.

2 or 3 ounces of Butryac will knock them dead.

I use one third oz. with 22 oz Rup, works very well. If you cant get um with a half gallon, I dont know if this rate will work for you though... thats a lot of Rup.

Eastern VA. No such thing as too many Magnums.
We only use an ounce and a half of Butyrac, with 30 oz of 41% gly. I could have just used Gramoxone this year, there's no beans.

Classic or Resource with Roundup. If you use Resource you may not want to look at your beans for a few days as it will burn them, but they grow out of it fairly quick.

As mentioned earlier get them while they are small. If they start to run they are pretty hard to kill.

Kentucky

.3 oz Classic plus 1 qt. of glyphosate (41%)

If marestail are present, I'll also add .2 oz of FirstRate with the Classic.

Mississippi County, MO
Add .5 oz of Cadet to your glyphosate and Classic. We have killed several running morning glories with this mix. Cadet is deadly on them and also velvet leaf.
