Princeton, Indiana | I started a part time retirement driving job about a month ago and this week I have been busy hauling DDG's from an ethanol plant to a poultry feed mill and have some general questions. What is value per ton at the ethanol plant? Does the actual material have much value or is it mostly considered a discard item and the user pays the freight to get it? Does it really contain much feed value after all of the "goodies" have been removed? The stuff I have been hauling is pretty dark in color and looks like they used excessive heat in the drying process and I would think that would have to reduce the value as a feed ingredient. I've hauled a lot of corn in to ethanol plants but this is my first experience on the outgoing side of things. | |
