MO | We have sheep grazing cover crop on an old dairy farm. Owner has agreed to let us continue grazing through the summer, and on an ongoing basis each year on parts of the farm....so I am now in need of a semi-permanent working system. The best spot to gather them all is in the old holding pen at the back of the parlor. It is 40x120 (could also walk them through the parlor and around the palpation rail, but trying just to use the holding pen). Holding pen runs east/west and has a gate that opens out to the north and one that opens out to the south on the east end. Otherwise just open concrete floor. The group here will be anywhere from 300-1500 sheep. Hair ewes, so 150lb avg. Holding area sits on top of a hill, so hard slope off the south end but flat enough on the north side to extend something out....and that is likely the side we would have to make a load out area.
any ideas / drawings appreciated
