Subject: Don't overlook the oil & oil level in round baler gearboxes


MT		Same goes for anything else with a gearbox. Batwings. It may be routine for you but I have learned of those who never check them at all or change the oil period. Seen gearboxes fail from zero maintenance. No surprise there.

I use this Harbor Freight fluid extractor to suck out the old oil. Works great on most any gearboxes for oil extraction. Northern Tool has something similar.

The above fluid extractor is handy for lots of other things as well.
