Subject: anthracnose leaf blight

north central iowa

I have a 70 acre field of corn on corn that has developed this leaf blight. This field has several strikes against it, corn on corn, alot of stalk residual on the ground, wet field in spots. I have no experience with this and looking for your thoughts on the field this year and moving forward. The effected area is probably a third of the acres which is not improving very fast as you can see in the pictures. My question is do I try to treat now with fungicide? Do I wait and treat at tassel to keep it from falling over?

Will one year rotation back to beans next year kill the infection? Do I need to bury more residue to kill it?

I will be talking to agronimist in a few minutes just curious what kind of comments I would get here from the guys/gals that have been there.

Thanks
Wally
