Frederick, Md | My pasture has some creek bottom ground that is high clay content and lays extremely wet. Pasture is predominantly fescue, but even that doesn’t work so well in the bottoms.
Many years ago I tried no-tilling some RCG in these bottoms when it was dry enough and I did not get much of a stand….if any.
Working this ground is not going to happen. Am I a glutton for punishment if I try no-tilling again or should I try a different type of grass? I could gain some carrying capacity if I could get this ground to have a good stand of grass, so I’d like to figure something out. | |
