| Jim,
I have a 1200 cnh planter that was new last year. I had Yetter combination coulter - row cleaner set up on the advice of dealer. The consensus of those I spoke with was not to use a coulter with this planter, but I went with dealers view and that of my partner in the planter. As it turned out the consensus was right and CNH block man told us to take the coulter set up off after observing the planter for about 20 minutes in no till beans. It performed much better wihout the extra iron, but now I need to come up with row cleaners for the corn units since we will be doing some no till corn this year. I have been told by a dealer who sells a lot of these set ups that they are using Yetter cleaners on all of there new sales(no coulters). It appears tha these units can float , or be lock in position. What would you suggest? I have seen many of your comments and have always been impressed with how "even handed" you are in your recommendations. | |
