| I am wanting to build a 90x75 building and all my other buildings are red iron buildings with beams every 20'
I came across a company that offers a hybrid steel building is that they call it. It has beams every 5' and cross members every 5'. To build a building with them is cheap enough that the difference in price would cover electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. They also are much cheaper on the insulation. Half of the building will be a/c (90x45) and inside that 90x45 area will be a walled off room of 25x45 that will be spray foamed 3" thick for a walk in cooler. Their spray foam price is very good which also helps bring the building price down alot compared to other builders. They claim they build enough that they have 1 spray foam guy that does a lot of work that keep its competitive.
The other 90x30 side will just be non insulated.
I am also putting sheet metal on the inside of the 90x45 area so I have a good grade wipeable surface. Walls and ceiling.
My question to agtalk is does anyone have experience or knowledge about a building constructed like this? I am attaching a couple of photos. That I have for reference. Building will be 90x75 with 12 foot walls and 2:12 pitch. We do not get snow here at all, ever. They say this style of building is engineered for 155mph winds while the red iron buildings are 150mph wind rating.
I think it is framed out of 2.5x2.5 12 gauge galvanized. Maybe it's 14 gauge can't remember exactly what he said. Maybe mine being a larger span its upgraded from 14 to 12 gauge.
With 26 gauge sheet metal.
I also will have a wall going down the middle of the building long wise and a framed out room so figured that might also help sturdy it up more than just a open building.
