Northern IL | 100-110 a bale at the local auctions in southern Wisconsin. Unfortunately alfalfa doesn't seem to always bring a premium. 1st cutting grass topped the last sale at 105 a bale. It was nice hay but not as nice as your stuff. The alfalfa faired better in the drought than grass so that probably is part of the price difference. |

Thumb of Michigan | Convert it into SS bales, $400+ a ton here. Present size $250-$275. |
South Texas | $350 per ton. |

Eastern Half of Kansas | Without doing a little more research as we don’t sell as much as we did. I’d say $275 a ton truck loads, could do more if sold by the bale or smaller quantities. |
Central NE | $250+. edit* per ton. whats it worth? more than that.

Missouri | Appreciate the replies. I had a feeling our local market was stupid high, but I wanted a few bales to see how my mixer handled it. I guess it explains why there's so many Nebraska and Kansas plates hauling in green gold. |
