Callao Missouri | Tired of mud. Hopefully before i die i can get every hoof under roof in the winter time. Everyone says cattle buildings wont pay. But i wish someone smarter than myself could put numbers to the actual cost that running cattle outside during the non grazing time of year actually costs. It seems to me like lost gain and condition costs money. Feeding in the mud costs money. Buying rock and bunks costs money.
Time lost screwing around costs money
The damage to pasture in the winter delays, and reduces feed production in the summer. Cost money.
If i could get it done today every hoof on the farm would go to town. Tomorrow i may change my mind.
