WCIA | I have a 97 or 98 345 deere mower with 622hrs on the ticker. its a v-twin 18hp kawasaki motor. I have oil leaking into the exhaust after it sits for a couple of days. just leaking out of the one cylinder, (theres oil around the manifold on one side, clean on the other). Smokes right at first tell it gets the oil burned out of the exhaust, then doesn't smoke at all? Runs and starts great? broken ring, or bad valve guides? Oil level is just below full. any help would be great!
Thanks in advance |

Byron IL | could just be a valve seal. |

| Rest easy it's nothing major. There's a valvecover leak on one of your cylinders. Simple fix. On the JD parts page the gasket part # is MIU11358. Illustration attached. It's #10. on the schematic. I've got 99' 345 with 655 hours on it. Heck of a mower aren't they?
