Latimer, Iowa (north central) | Since it is Sunday gave the guys the day off and unhooked the grain cart and put tractor on the spreader. Spreading chicken litter at 3 ton an acre on a poor aerial seeded wheat cover crop. Usually wheat will look better in the spring. We had litter on a lot of ground that was corn this year and a sidedress application of 50-60 units 32% along with the litter grew a great crop. Where we just had litter was crap. Literally…
Spreading with a Tebbe spreader and love the job it does. Would recommend one and “Greenfield spreading and sales” to anyone needing a manure spreader. I have been spreading cattle manure at 5 ton an acre and does a great job with that too. Hard to tell where you have been so nice to map it with rate control.
I know the load isn’t clear full but hauling down a public road. :-).
