SE Nebraska | I have a 2016 rotadisc. This is my first year running this header. I put new chains and deck plates on and also replaced the first 4 of the cutting discs on the rollers. The deck plates are spaced to 3/4" on the front and 7/8" on the back as specified by Geringhoff rep. The head seems to take an excessive amount of trash in while picking. I'm not just talking leaves but whole plants are going through the combine which is leading to extra sieve loss. If I open the deck plates to where it is pulling the plants down and not taking in much trash you can watch the ground behind the head and there is corn everywhere from pulling ears through. This is on a case 8230 combine. I'm running around 650 for feederhouse speed. I've tried slowing it down but it gets worse at slower feederhouse speeds. The head angle is set at 23 degrees measured on the deck plates. I am not sure what else to try. Any suggestions?
I attached a short video of what is going on.
