| Just got a Gehl 1285 forage harvester ... been going over it for a couple weeks now... I started sharpening the knives today... thing being though, only the centre of knives are getting sharpened... just wondering why this is... the knives look pretty new... all the knives are consistently getting sharp just in the middle... I know if I keep sharpening , eventually the knives will be sharp all the way across, before I do that though, was wondering if anybody has had this or knows why it is happening... I’ve never had it before on our other Gehl forage harvesters... grinding stone always sharpens evenly across.
Also just saying I checked over the sharpening rails to see if they are straight etc... all seems good. Thanks if you guys can help.
