Chilliwack, British Columbia | I have a New Holland FP240 I bought used last fall. Chopped corn with it, and are now finally trying to get it into the shop for a going over before 1st cut in May. Problem is, too tall for my little shop. Would it be really bad to cut the vertical support for the spout and have the top half removable? put a sleeve inside to keep everything tight? About 1" short, with most of the air out of the tires. I knew it would be close, but thought I could fit it inside.
Also, has anyone adapted the spout to spin further? Last fall we went back and forth between pulling a dump wagon and side loading, and was kind of a pain to rotate the spout manually between the 2 positions. Would be very handy to have the kind of rotation the SP units have. Shouldn't be too hard, just curious if anyone has attempted that before.
Thanks,
Glenn
