| I've seen both sides of the argument. In my area a high percentage are terminal bred. They've always were my most profitable fat cattle. I bought into two really nice groups off two small ranches (under 100) the previous 2 years and I just don't get the performance out of them. The uniformity is great. The grade is fantastic but I've never recouped the front end cost increase. I'm in negotiations and I'm not buying this year unless I can buy similar to the cattle I've already laid in. I try new cattle for two years. What say you?
