Central Nebraska | In a previous post I've documented some GPS issues I've had with my combine the past few years. I run a Pro 700, NAVIII, and RTX unlocked 372 on my sprayer and combine. It has worked perfect on my sprayer but given me fits on the combine. Perfect is not totally true I had to relocate my two way radio antennas further away from the 372 to avoid dropping RTX when the mic was keyed. On my sprayer moving the antenna fixed all my issues. On the combine I thought it fixed my issues but I still drop RTX frequently. Ag Express has inspected/tested the 372 and found no issues. I should get it back tomorrow. So after checking harnessing, resetting the 372, updating all the software, etc I'm back at square one. I fully expect the unit to not be reliable when I get it back. A spare 372 running WAAS only has been perfect for three days (except WAAS sucks).
My question is.....does a business band radio have the ability to cause interference if it is not actively transmitting or receiving communications. I know there is something with frequency octets that can be problematic and I've been told my radio frequency is close. RTX is 1555.8080 and my two way frequency is 152.775. |
