The consolidation/monopoly in the produce biz allows us who grow for them to see the future.Same prices as 3 decades ago(actual way less due to cost increases and dollars decline in value)and the answer is usually "we need to be competitive with Wally world".Our move to just retail and local sales is being hastened by me as it really pisses me off that cheap food dragged in from afar from countries with zero workers rights and terrible enviro issues is allowed by our ignorant elected and employed in DC who are more concerned of cow farts and rising tides.
