I just heard on tv news that "Cubs Legend", #10 Ron Santo, has passed away in his AZ home this a.m.

They gave no other details, though Cubs fans realize Ron has been afflicted w/diabetes since he was a young man & has had several diabetic-caused operations in recent years, including amputation of both lower legs.

It won't be the same listening to Cubs radio this coming year without the down-to-earth voice of Ronnie. It was one of my "only if" wishes in life that I wish I had gotten to see #10 play live for the Cubs. I'm sorry I didn't go to baseball games back then.
