Subject: Shrinkage, Deer Wise

Graymont Illinois

Got a chance to do some deer hunting again. Many years of no good place to hunt.

Well, my best friend invited me to his ,place.

Got my best deer, by far.

Gutting, skinning, cutting up, took me down memory lane.

Actually, I cut up a week later. Sat in the 30/34  Degree chest freezer/temp controlled .

I decided, to throw away all the silver connective tissue.

Ended up with, much less meat because of that.

Should I have saved the silver "stuff"? and seperated it?

Scale that weighed the hanging deer was about 200 lbs./ more or less. If it was accurate.

The meat on the right is the loin meat, the left side is all the meat I cut in 1" cubes, and vac/d.

By weight, I thru a lot away.

Just wondering, how you deal with the meat I threw away.

Thanks Brian
