Subject: Farmer owned NH3 bar

West Central Iowa
I’ve had this nh3 bar 13 shank for about 10 years! It has a Raven cooler and Raven flow meter with 3 sections. Has the 2 valve system. Cooler was overhauled about 5 years ago. I use an AgLeader integra for rate and section control. I noticed last fall my actual rate where 15 lbs heavier than my prescriptions. Beforei started I took the 3/8 hose off cooler and blew air through to see if air would come out of the vapor knifes. First tank I applied today was 20 lbs of actual higher than my rate the Integra was saying. So went back to diagnose problems. Rate locks on to targeted rate when rate smoothing is checked. When rate smoothing is off it fluctuates about 8 lbs heavy to light. Before last year the rates matched with actual very close. The first wagon I used today, I used 652 pounds more than my Integra said I used. I asked several guys at the coop what could be wrong. My Integra is set to 72 pluses. I lowered that down to 70 pulses and have lowered the amount of over applied by 330 lbs of actual. I have frost build up on my vapor hoses. Just wondering if the cooler is leaking making it difficult for the flow meter to measure the flow or could it be the flow meter? Looking for ideas. Thanks
