Subject: Case IH 2366 Rotor Gearbox support broke

Near Richmond, IN

On our 2366, the rear rotor gear case support broke.  It's like a large upside down U piece made out of angle iron with an eye  bolt that attaches to the gear case and through this piece which is used to adjust the gear case to get the rotor belt and pulleys in the proper relationship.   Well my support broke and the gear case slid to the left.  Everything seems to work ok right now as long as I don't change rotor speed.  But the problem is to fix it looks like an all day job to get it out of there.  The pin through the eyebolt won't come out without removing a piece at the head of it to make room.  Some large bolts that attach the bracket to the gear case don't have enough room to be removed either without taking off the driven pulley on the rotor (or so it appears right now)  Lots of removing things just to replace this support bracket.

Just wondered if anyone had done this and knew of any easy way to do it or a shortcut.  Looks like a lot of things have to come off and out of the way just to get this upside down U off of it.  If my picture shows up, it's #2 in the diagram.
