| I love to see Jim's cattle, It was my turn to check water to today. Its a 60 mile round trip to make the fast trip. Didn't get close to many cattle as it's big country. First pic is a cow of my son's, pity the fool that tries to tag her calf without a saddle horse present. Next one is the next trough I found cattle at. Calves are starting to drop in fine fashion. Last one is of first calf heifers at home. Start date on 3-1-26, we have 30% on the ground now with natural service on them. I tell all the young pups mark this spring in your calving book. You won't see this favorable weather for calving for a long time. Wasn't long ago I remember losing 20% across the board to bad weather. It didn't matter if we babysat them are not. It was 20% of calves lost in a 200 mile radius or more.
