I've been trying to figure out things to do with the data and wealth of knowledge that exists in Ag Talk (specifically the crop talk and market talk forums), and someone (Nick Horob) proposed the idea of creating a tool that analyzed the sentiment of posts in the Market Talk forum specifically to get a new data point on markets. So I went ahead and did that!

This tool looks at posts in the Market Talk forum from the past two weeks and shows trending topics, crops, and the sentiments about those things (100 is positive, 50 is neutral, 0 is negative).  The filter on the right allows you to to view the 14-day sentiment trend for that topic. Try selecting cattle and seeing how different it is!

It's very much a work in progress, so if you have ideas, please share them here or via the feedback form on the app.  It is completely free. I just built it as a side-project for the sake of building and learning.
