E TN | Was out at lunch today and right at the main intersection in town a trailer load of round bales was burning rather nicely. The fellow pulling the trailer managed to get his truck uncoupled so only the trailer was damaged. Not sure if it caught by spontaneous combustion (I think probably it did) but it was quite the event! When the FD got there and set up the flames were pretty high but they did get it all under control quickly. Then they commenced to tear all the bales apart and water it down real good. There was smoldering hay even where. Had traffic pretty snarled up (what little there was). LOL, you can tell nothing much happens around here if thats the big event. Sure do wish I had my digital then I could post some pics. Oh well, youll just have to use your imagination. | |
