canada | I have a 1993 6175 white with an 18 speed funk, it's got 5100 hours and I changed all fluids and filters when I got it at 4500 hours. Since then I've been following the schedule in the operators manual.
The power shift filter light came on at 230 hours last week so I changed it early (250 hours), today it came on faintly at 1800 rpm, I throttled up to 2000 and it went out, I throttled down to 1700 and it came on brightly. I stopped and idled at 1100 for a couple minutes and it went out. I shut down, checked levels and everything is good. I fired up and am finishing spraying this field then heading to the shop (the light hasn't come back on and it shifts fine). Is it possible the sending unit is bad? A plugged filter should stay plugged? The sending unit just trips if there's a pressure differential between the inlet and outlet of the filter so rpm shouldn't make a difference? I use agco filters and the spec on the coop THG says it meets agco's specs.
I'm scared to even ask what it costs to rebuild the powershift.
Thanks for any help
