Wondering what anyone's thoughts are on converting a spring axle tandem semi tractor into a single axle. Seems tandem axle trucks are more readily available and less expensive. I've shortened a couple straight trucks so I know what's involved in axle relocation and drive shafts. Am I crazy and just trying to be cheap or does it make sense for under 5k miles a year.
