Subject: John Deere 5225

Hastings, NE
I am looking at purchasing a 2007 John Deere 5225. 12x12 power reverser trans., 542 loader, MFWD, Cab, 725 hrs. I am wondering if any of you guys have any experience with this size tractor? It will be used on a small acreage for feeding cattle, baling, mowing and loader work, 4 row planter. I was looking for a 5525 and stubbled across this tractor. Will it have enough HP? It has about half of the 5525 but same size frame. Also the hydraulics have about 5 gpm less capacity of the 5525. Any complaints with the 5 cylinder diesel? 5525 has a 4 cylinder.

Thanks for any feed back.
