Subject: Gleaner 9250/9300 Draper

SW MO
I’ve been looking for a Gleaner Draper to go on a S68, currently running a rigid Honey Bee Rice Draper on it and would really like to upgrade to a flex draper. We would cut wheat, oats and soybeans and our ground is terraced. Very few gleaners left in our part of the world and even fewer R/S series rotors and no dynaflexes anywhere that I know of. I know a guy that runs two T71 machines but he runs MacDons on them. That being said there’s just no where close to go ride with someone using a dynaflex. I like the mechanical drives on the gleaners and they appear to be a machine that could be worked on. Would there be much benefit to paying a lot more and going with the 9300 series over a well cared for 9200 series? I’ve read the bulletin release with the improvements for the 9300 series but never being around one I just don’t know how it would compare to the 9200 series. I’d like to stick with a 25’ head but not completely opposed to a 30’. We cut perpendicular to our terraces and up and over them. Other than terraces our ground is relatively flat, and we do have some rocks. Thanks for any input.
