NW Iowa | This is all very debatable.
It seems like the past several years, the market seems to not get as excited about possible crop problems. They don't seem to want to drive price up anymore with crop uncertainty as the sole reason.
Assuming that's all true and not just my bias, I believe it's because the people that drive the market know more about the crop than they used to. There's less uncertainty because there's less unknown now and the true data is known and available to them quicker and more reliably than in the past. And I have this idea that they're even seeing planting and harvesting happen in real time. How?------most of us are sending real time planter data and yield monitor data to "the cloud".
I'm sure the cloud is totally secure though,,,,, right?? | |
