| I'm needing to update our old Woods 3pt hyd side arm ditch mower. Mainly use it to mow creek banks but would also like to be able to trim tree limbs along fence rows. Looking on the "net" I have found several different makes. The two that appear to fit the bill best are a Bush Hog RMB 1445 & a Diamond 14 STD. Anyone own /operate one of these mowers.? If so, what are the pros / cons of each? Flail or rotary cutting head, I think the rotary cutter would be best for brush. I am leaning towards the Bush Hog with a rotary cutting head. For one, there are several dealers within an hours drive compared to only one Diamond dealer. I would be putting it on a CIH Maxxum 115 w loader, mfd, and three sets of rear weights. Tractor weight is approx 6500# not including the loader & wheel weights. Would this be a big enough tractor to handle the extra weight hung out to the side or would I need to add fluid to the rear tires? Any other brands you would recommend?
TIA,
boog
