EC Kansas
I flushed one or more repeatedly out of a field of corn over the weekend with the combine. Although they aren't seen very often around these parts (EC Kansas), I've seen them often enough to know that's what it was. But the ones I've seen before while hunting quail were in low, wet, brushy areas and the time of year was early November. The ground in the field was fairly dry, but there must have been something out there to attract them. Or is that just normal behavior?  Just curious and figured someone on here knows a lot more about them than I do.
