Forgive me for watching Bloomberg tonight as they “speculate” on the weekends developments.  Ratings must be down.. and they’re throwing things at the wall.. but.. okay.. I’ll play along in the “what if” game.

All this is hypothetical.. however..

Trump appears to be “smoking out” what’s left of the Maduro Government in Venezuela with a blockade.  Strategically this makes sense as Putin has moved against Ukraine and has his hands full there..  When the Cats away.. the mice will play.

Trump is getting.. “frustrated” that Putin hasn’t accepted peace offerings so now he’s capturing boats.. The Shadow fleet and commandeering Venezuelan Crude in return.. invoking the Monroe Doctrine.. or is it the Trump doctrine?

There are of course risks to this strategy.. such as China may feel emboldened to move against Taiwan.

What would Trumps response be then?

Thinking that such a move against Taiwan threatens the US interest there.. would he counter with a blockade of say Brazilian Soybeans? 

There’s a fair number of ports.. and it might be tricky.. but what if Trump told the grain multinationals to Enforce his embargo.. or.. face “consequences” here at home.. accessing.. “The Greatest Market on the Planet” as he’s found of pointing out..

It doesn’t seem as much of a stretch for “tariff man” to do.. does it?

This is all speculation.. none of it has happened.. but.. could.. or would it?

It would seem to fit the whole.. Make America(s) Great again.. and would seem to fit his.. business attitude to world affairs.

renaming the gulf.. formerly known as Mexico to.. Gulf of America.  

Why stop there?
