Tuscola, IL | Took the planter out for the first time tonight just to check over and make sure everything works. Spent a lot of time looking for an issue with low population. Finally discovered my GPS speed was not reading correctly. If I started from a standstill and drove 1.7 on the tractor A-post, the GPS speed would slowly climb to 4.5-5 mph. Restarted the display and tried again with the same results. Looking on AgLeaders support page, it appears this was an issue addressed by software version 4.5 for the steercommand module. Early this spring I updated the display and receiver and I realized tonight I did that when they were mounted on the 4 wheeler for mapping. I never updated the steercommand. Not sure what version I have currently but going to try updating it tomorrow and see if that fixes my issue. Just looking to see if anyone else has encountered this problem if the update doesn't work or if I happen to be updated past the version that's supposed to cure this. | |
