I got the official word yesterday and am tentatively scheduled for outpatient surgery to replace my pacemaker next week. It is my first pacer installed 6+ years ago.
I have to stop taking warfarin (Coumadin) 3 days prior to surgery and take a series of Lovenox (enoxaparin sodium) injections 2x a day. 6 shots total cost $400+! I hope buying that stuff is the most painful part of the whole deal LOL!
