Subject: John Deere 568 baler pickup slip clutch sensor

SW South Dakota
We got a 568 baler last fall. Going over it and it gives a slip alert on the monitor. Checked speeds on monitor and the pickup wasn't reading a speed. Looks like it was replaced recently, so I adjusted it to about a 1.14 mm gap. Book says no closer than 1mm gap. It is reading now but is off. Book says it should have a speed of 310 at full pto speed and I was only getting 194.

My question is, do I need to adjust the calibration number somehow? Book only says to have it calibrated to 21, which it is. The books seems surprisingly vague on this subject. I figured I'd try adjusting the sensor a little closer to see if that helps. Right now I just shut off the pickup speed sensor so I can run.
