Southern Lower Michigan | Yesterday I puled out my Ford 8830 to topdress my wheat. Everything worked as it should. Backed out of the barn, and pulled up to the incline by the other barn to change the pto. went to shift into reverse, and nothing happened?? Shifted to foward , and back into reverse again, shifted like it should. I changed the shaft, and went to the spreader, and it shifted from foward to reverse severan times, it shifted ok. spread the urea, ( the tractor would shift up, and down with no problem). After I unhooked I tried the reverse again, and it would not go into reverse. I tried cycling the shifter like the first time, and Nothing. It won't go into reverse.
It shows no codes, and when I move thew shifter to reverse, indicator is blank ( no reverse and gear selection as it should have).
Where do I start looking? I did a quick look under the cab, at the connections there, and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.
