nw pa | One of those fellows you meet just a few times in your life. Always a smile and a handshake, one you could tell was mean't with friendship. Had time to do most anything for anybody. Always upon asking for something said "I got all day". And he mean't it. No matter that night he had to go home and milk a couple hundred cows or go to the football game after. I remember when his son pulled his first tractor at the local fair.Whether he won or not I don't know but your never saw a more proud dad. Held a cookout most years for a few of the neighbors and friends. Might be hundreds show up. Had a benefit for him when things were going down hill. His best friend said they sold out of hundred dollar tickets. At the funeral home today the line was out the door for hours in 15 degree weather. Didn't matter they stayed, older folks younger folks. was a sight to see. He would have felt very uncomfortable for the attention.nobody deserved it more. He had some of the best cows in the area,a natural cow man. Got the most out of his herd and the most out of life.
