Kingdom of Callaway - Fulton, Mo 65251 | I bought two of these cotton buggy trailers with the idea of making a cattle pen scale out of them. They have a heavy tubing frame with load cells on the tounge and axles. I plan to strip the axles and all the hydraulic stuff, and sides off. Then build a wide floor and panels on three sides and put it at the end of a pen with a gate to close. I will set it on a concrete footing.
Has anyone done this before? How wide is a good size? I have spots at our working facility where there are 16ft and 12ft panels i can hook it to. Is it better to run them in, weigh, and come back out the same gate? Or should I have them pass on through? What kind of floor should I use?
