| I'm a fifth-generation Oklahoma farmer and data professional. I built a farm management app called FarmPulse, and I'm posting here because AgTalk is where the operators I built it for actually hang out.
Here's the honest version:
**What it does:**
- Livestock tracking — tags, health history, medications (with expiration and withdrawal period alerts), vet visits, weight logs, batch treatments
- Field records — crop history, spray dates, costs, lease/rental agreements
- Feed inventory — in/out transactions, running balance
- Operations log — consolidated log for calving, planting, spraying, pasture moves, rainfall, equipment, fencing, fuel, labor
- Expenses — categorized logging, receipt photo scanning (Pro)
- Tasks — priorities, due dates, recurring chores, morning check templates
- Reports — field profitability, cash flow projections, year-over-year comparison (Lite and Pro)
- Multi-user — share an org with a spouse, son/daughter, or hired hand with role-based access
- Offline-first — works without cell service, syncs when you're back in range
**What it doesn't do (yet):**
- No payroll or HR
- No QuickBooks or bank sync
- No precision ag integration (JD Ops Center, FieldView)
- No equipment maintenance scheduling by hours/miles
- No USDA/FSA regulatory reporting
I'd rather tell you upfront than have you find out after you've entered three months of data.
**Who it's for:**
Independent operators, probably 50–2,000 acres, currently running on paper, memory, or spreadsheets. Not built for large commercial operations with dedicated software teams.
**Pricing:**
- Free: up to 20 animals, 5 fields, basic tracking
- Lite: $9.99/mo — adds all 8 reports, field mapping
- Pro: $29.99/mo — adds AI features, voice logging, team collaboration, unlimited records (30-day free trial, no credit card)
**farmpulse.app**
My dad is the primary reason I built this. He's in his late 60s, farms cattle and row crops in Oklahoma, and ran everything out of a notebook his whole life. He uses it now and it's helped more than I expected. I also use it for my own cattle operation.
I'm not here to hard sell anyone. If you try it and something doesn't work right or a feature you need is missing, post here or email me directly — I fix things fast. If it's not for you, that's fine too. | |
