| The turbo on our 865C went poop and instead of spending the obscene $4,800 that CAT wants for a REMAN, so I sent it to Area Diesel.
They tore it apart and it needs a hot side housing. and of course like everything else nowadays it's made of pure Unobtanium.
It's a proprietary turbo made by Garrett for CAT (of course!!).
So I need to try to find a GOOD turbo hot side housing.
I am trying now to get a hold of Patric Ward, so I am exploring that avenue and Area Diesel is trying other diesel shops they know of to try to find a housing.
Anyone have any other suggestions where to try?
