near dyersville iowa | My off the farm job is substituting at the post office on a rural route in my hometown. I work mainly on Saturdays. So last Saturday i delivered mail. Everthings fine. Til Sunday afternoon, when i get a text message from the regular carrier saying he had a complaint that I left a package outside, and the customer wasnt happy about it. OK..I thought, i just wont do that again. I get home, i have a message from the customer on my HOME phone, asking me to call him back. At the time i did not know this particular guy was the complainer, he didnt leave a reason for his message and being harvest season, i didnt get back to him. He then calls me tonight...rips me a new one, on my HOME phone, saying he had been out of town all weekend, at which time I told him he should have put a hold on his mail so this wouldnt happen. His answer to me is "I report to no one" He continues ripping me for another ten minutes, and with no signs of him stopping, i finally told him to call the postmaster, and hung up on him. So tomorrow morning bright and early I have to call the postmaster to explain my side before the hothead calls. I consider this harassment and do not believe I did anything wrong(I have left things on his front step before, he just was home to get them..and no complaints). I shouldnt get wound up about this kind of stuff i know, but it just really annoys me... | |
