Iowa | I am interested in buying a metal lathe for the farm but have little experience. There are times it would be nice to bore bushing stock and turn steel shaft down for welding projects and Build bushing/seal drivers for machinery repairs. I can't see needing to cut threads for anything but there may be a time. What would you guys suggest (new or used/brands/size)? Where are the wear areas on a used lathe or things to look out for? Are there certain brands that are easier to get parts for the older machines? Thanks for any info. | |
