north central nebraska | local deere dealer brought out a 2010 9870 and 35 foot flex draper to demo.not sure what it took other than a software update to make the two work together. was really impressed . we're dealling with greenstems and dry ( 8%) soybeans . our 9860 with 635 header is shattering beans as the reel pushes the plants against the auger. as the reel on the draper head pushes the plants back to the canvases the canvases take the plants to the center of the head without the constant batting back of the reel. the draper fed enough better that we could go over 1/2 mph faster. pretty impressive head. dealer said not able to buy head without ordering combine at the same time just like everyone else has posted. | |
