Kansas | Some good river ground sold last night for some pretty good and surprising numbers.
Tract 1- 80 acre field. $237,000 ($2962 per acre)
Tract 2- 76 acre field $222,000 ($2921 per acre)
Tract 3- 368 acre field 271 cropland $945,000 ($2568 per acre) includes a restored one room schoolhouse.
I sold 43 acres year and a half ago same type of ground for $2300 an acre (I think Trakman farms it now). Some recession we're in huh? Friend of mine farms all this ground and judging by who bought it (3 different farmers) he won't be now. I did plant corn on part of the big field for him. Oh, the per acre prices I give might not be right on the mark (for example tract 2 is actually 76.1, tract 1 is 79.6) but I'm pretty close. | |
