Hagen Brothers farms,Goodrich ND | The thread about air rifles got me thinking about somthing I read in a local power company magazine.
The Lewis & Clark expidition , which came through my area in the very early 1800's, had an air rifle that they claimed was as powerful as the black powder rifles of the day and much faster reloading. They used the thing to hunt game for food and for defense.
The magazine story claimed the thing could be pumped up to 1500 psi and would kill a deer.
All this, over 200 years ago.
